At Packington C of E Primary School, we provide breakfast and after school care for children attending this school.
Our breakfast club runs from 7.30am and our after school club runs until 5.30pm.
At Packington, we are small but we are mighty! The children are always there to support and encourage each other, in club, school and personal achievements and as a result of this, friendships are strong.
We are fundamentally child led in all areas of our sessions. Our aim is to encourage every enjoyable aspect of the children’s time at club, after all, they will have been/will be in school all day and we really expect and want them to relax, lead and enjoy their time in club. Our children understand the boundaries and follow club rules with precision and respect.
We discuss what equipment the children would like to have to play with at each session and they love nothing more than to combine multiple activities into one.
We are so lucky to run our club in the school hall which is spacious and light and opens up onto a vast grassy area with a trim trail to play and relax on. We also have use of the MUGA (multi use games area) and the playground too.
Furthermore, we have a local park, just a two-minute walk away, which we love to visit and often take a picnic to enjoy too!
We liaise and work closely with the school in every aspect from EYFS to when their journey at Packington in year 6 comes to an end. We shadow all themes for the term and incorporate these into our planning and session structures.
A good selection of breakfast items are served daily, as is a rotation of light afternoon teas. We also celebrate birthdays with either a breakfast or an afternoon celebration depending on what session the birthday children attend…and there is always cake for these special occasions!
Here at Packington Kids Cabin, we aim to cover as many different celebrations as possible, such as Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Diwali, Chinese New Year, Guy Fawkes, holidays, World book day and even odd socks day!
